Number of Bricks in 100 CFT with Brick Calculation

0
The number of bricks in 100 cft can vary with different dimensions of bricks, but don't worry. In this article we will see the simple method to calculate the number of bricks in 100 cft with mortar and without mortar layer.

How Many Bricks in 100 CFT? Brick Calculation

Total bricks in 100 cft is 1600 when the size of brick is 230×110×70 mm and total bricks in 100 cft with 12 mm mortar layer is 1170 when brick size is 230×110×70. Read the blog post in detail to understand the brick calculation.

How Many Bricks in 100 CFT? Brick Calculation

To calculate the number of bricks in 100 cft, we have to consider the size of brick and the type of brick layer as with and without mortar.

Considerations and Requirements
  • Volume of Brick Work = 100 cft or 2.832 m
  • Size of Brick = 230×110×70 mm
  • Thickness of Mortar Layer = 12 mm

Volume of Brick Calculation

Here, we are calculating volume of brick with and without mortar layer.

Volume of a Single Brick (Without Mortar Layer)
= Length × Width × Height of the Brick
= 230 mm × 110 mm × 70 mm
= 1771000 mm³ or 0.06254 cft

Volume of a Single Brick (With 12mm Mortar Layer)
= Length × Width × Height of the Brick
= 242 mm × 122 mm × 82 mm
= 2420968 mm³ or 0.0855 cft

Total Number of Bricks in 100 CFT (Without Mortar Layer)

Total number f bricks in 100 cft without mortar layer
= Volume of Brickwork / Volume of a Brick without mortar layer
= 100 cft / 0.06254 cft
= 1599 Bricks
So, there is approx 1600 nos bricks in 100 cft without mortar.

Total Number of Bricks in 100 CFT (With 12mm Mortar Layer)

Total number f bricks in 100 cft with 12 mm mortar layer
= Volume of Brickwork / Volume of a Brick with 12 mm mortar layer
= 100 cft / 0.0855 cft
= 1170 Bricks
So, there is approx 1170 nos bricks in 100 cft with 12 mm thick mortar layer.

Note: You may consider 5 to 10% extra bricks as waste factor. This post is for educational purpose.
