- Plain side of brick masonry work - 10 mm to 12 mm thick cement mortar plastering.
- Rough side of brick masonry work (4 inch or 9 inch) - 15 mm thick cement mortar plastering.
- Dado (Lower part of a wall, below the dado rail and above the skirting board) - 18 mm thick cement mortar plastering.

**Note:**20 mm thick cement mortar plastering is used for some special design requirements or for the more irregular surfaces. In this the surface is plastering is done in two layers.

### Waste Factor and Shrinkage Factor (Dry Volume to Wet Volume)

In the masonry work or plastering work we consider extra 20% wastage and extra 35% as shrinkage factor (dry volume to wet volume). Otherwise we directly add 54% extra (i.e. 1.54).
